Mortgage Assistance program

EDCO has available City of Dallas HOME funds a Grant of $47,000 to be applied towards the down payment of the purchase of a Bexar Street Village Town home.

Income Guidelines

Home buyers with incomes below the following categories may be eligible for a Down payment Assistance or Closing Cost Grant.

To qualify for a grant you must meet the following guidelines.

Eligible Homebuyer:

  1. You may not currently own a home.
  2. You must owner-occupy the home.
  3. You must intend to live in the home for at least ten (10) years.
  4. Your total household income may not exceed 80% of the Dallas Area Median Income (AMI) as outlined in the Household Income Chart.
  5. You must successfully complete a homeownership education course from a HUD approved counseling agency on our list and provide a Certificate of Completion to your lender.
  6. A buyer must be pre-qualified for the Mortgage of $83,000 .
  7. You must deposit $500 earnest money.
